The modern bare brick walls, wrought iron
furnishings and soft lighting all make for a wonderful
atmosphere at the popular Mock Turtle. The brasserie style
menu is made up of dishes such as confit of duck with
caramelised onions and Madeira sauce, fillet of sea bass with
a chive sauce or the equally delicious noisettes of lamb,
stuffed with black pudding, while tempting desserts include a
rum and banana smoothie.

The picturesque Yalbury Cottage is a
delightful 300-year old cottage, complete with thatched roof,
exposed beams and inglenook fireplaces giving it true
character. The food also lives up to the charming location
with a regularly changing menu featuring dishes such as seared
scallops with a warm potato, caper and shallot terrine,
followed by the likes of herb crusted rack of lamb with
fondant potato.

Judge Jeffreys Restaurant caters for just
about every occasion, from serving morning coffee and lunches
through to traditional afternoon teas and an evening a la
carte menu. The food is a British with a good selection of
vegetarian dishes to choose from and a separate children’s
menu. There’s also space for al fresco dining in the summer.

At the pretty Le Petit Canard you can choose
from either two courses at £22.50 or three courses for £26.
The menu lists carefully crafted dishes such as seared
scallops with a warm tomato and green bean salsa with red
pepper coulis, roast breast of Gressingham duck with a chilli
and plum sauce and pork fillet with a compote of apple,
finished with Calvados and cream. All in all a real treat for
the palate with plenty of good desserts too.
